About KaziPeople
What is KaziPeople?
KaziPeople is a workforce and financial-services platform built for East Africa. It runs your HR and statutory payroll, gives employees and managers self-service on web, iOS and Android, and connects workforces to financial products such as salary advances, loans and insurance through a regulated partner ecosystem. It includes Dana, an AI assistant, and works in English and Swahili.
Who is KaziPeople for?
Small and medium businesses and growing companies in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. HR managers and payroll or finance teams run the platform, employees and line managers use self-service, and banks, lenders and insurers join as partners to offer financial products to workforces.
Which countries does KaziPeople support?
Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda today, with statutory rules, public holidays and payout rails per country. Additional countries can be added through country-specific statutory packs.
How much does KaziPeople cost?

Payroll
Does KaziPeople handle Tanzanian statutory payroll like PAYE, SDL and NSSF?
Yes. The payroll engine calculates PAYE, SDL, NSSF, WCF and other statutory items for Tanzania, produces payslips and statutory return columns, and supports multi-entity companies. Statutory rules for Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda are handled through per-country packs.
How does KaziPeople pay salaries out?
Through connected payout rails: bank transfers, M-Pesa and other mobile money, and aggregators such as AzamPay and Selcom. Payroll runs pass through configurable approval chains, and payout files for banks are generated where a direct rail is not used.
Can employees see their payslips?
Yes. Employees see and download payslips on the web app and the mobile app the moment a payroll run is released, along with payment status and income statements.
Financial Products for Employees
How do salary advances and employee loans work on KaziPeople?
Employers enable products from the Financial Marketplace for their team. Employees request an advance or loan in the app, terms are shown up front, consent is recorded, and approved amounts are repaid through payroll deductions with a minimum take-home-pay protection so deductions can never push net pay below a safe floor.
Who provides the loans?
Either the employer itself, or regulated lending partners who join through the KaziPeople Partner Program. Each partner operates from its own Partner Portal workspace and its products only reach employees whose employer has enabled them.
The Partner Program
How does a bank or lender become a KaziPeople partner?
Apply on the website at kazipeople.com/become-a-partner. Applications are reviewed by the KaziPeople team; approved partners receive a dedicated Partner Portal workspace with an owner invitation for their team.
What can partners do in the Partner Portal?
Design products in the Product Studio with pricing rules, eligibility and disclosures, test them in a simulator, and submit them for review. Once live, partners manage applications, their loan book, repayments, settlements, signed documents, campaigns, reports, team roles and a full audit log.
Security and Data
Is KaziPeople secure?
Every company runs in its own isolated workspace. Data is encrypted in transit, access is role-based, organizations can enforce two-factor authentication, and every sensitive action is written to an audit log. Signed documents carry verification codes anyone can check publicly.
Who owns the data in KaziPeople?
The employer owns its workforce data. Partners only see borrower information that an employee has explicitly consented to share for a specific application, and the consent record is stored with the application.

Does KaziPeople have a mobile app?
Yes. The KaziPeople companion app for iOS and Android covers payslips, leave requests, approvals, notifications and biometric sign-in, and works offline with sync when you reconnect.
